Item Description

An attractive miniature specimen featuring sharp, gemmy "phantomed" beautiful purple and yellow color cubic crystals of Fluorite without matrix. The coloration is not typical for Southern Illinois as it doesn't have sharp defined "phantom" lines, but a mixed swirling color that is almost "patchy" in areas. This locality is well known for its Fluorite specimens, though they are few and far between on the market these days. This area is completely closed down and will never produce these specimens again. Ex Ross Lillie collection (#RCL1117), whose label states that it was collected in March of 1993. Ross's label states that there are noteworthy and rarely seen dodecahedral faces and growth lines present on the piece.
