Fluorite ex Ray Demark collection

Item Description

Sharp crystals of incredible color saturation make this exceptional for this New Mexican classic fluorite locality. Lustrous and translucent, octahedrons of rich purple-colored fluorite, in crystals to 1 cm across, contrast beautifully with their snow white, massive quartz matrix. There are also a few pale blue/gray cubes of fluorite near the base of the specimen. While the crystal size itself is not as large as they get, this has none of the frosted or cloudy look to it that so many specimens from here have, which makes it more interesting and beautiful. This was collected by claim owner Ray DeMark, and sold by him to a dealer, who sold it to the current owner (noted on label).
