Item Description

A classic specimen of the hard to find gem quality Fluorites from Rabenstein (a silver mine that dates back to the 1600s), which is techincally in Italy, but right on the border with the South Tyrol of Austria in the Trentino part Italy. The labels accompanying the piece state that it's from Rabenstein, Austria. Sharp, GEM/gemmy, pale green, lustruos, cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.5 cm are intergrown off matrix to create this attractive small cabinet display specimen. Very little damage and good quality for the material. Hard to photograph, better in person. A great opportunity for a collector to add one of these hard to find specimens to their Fluorite suite. The piece comes with a label from the Pat and Leo Wurtzel Collection, along with another label from an unknown collection.
