Item Description

This is a fantastic cabinet sized piece of the famous Fluorites from the Cacilia Mine. This specimen is filled with lustrous, gemmy crystals of Fluorite which are predominantly cubic in habit, but actually show hundreds of small stacked / layered cubic faces giving a unique overall appearance. The color in sunlight is a pleasing green, but more of a yellowish tone indoors. Some of the Fluorites show attractive internal "phantoms" when backlit. The largest Fluorite measures 3.7 cm on edge. Good quality all around, and highly desirable on the market. Priced at $950. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5810). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
