Item Description
Fine, sharp, very gemmy, lustrous, beautiful green colored groups of Fluorite with cubic faces oriented into octahedral-shaped clusters on matrix from a place called "Mina Las Muelas" according to the label. A customer helped us pin this to the locality given above now - thank you! The largest Fluorite group measures 1.3 cm. Most of the crystals are damage free and some are so gemmy that you can nearly see all the way through them to the underlying matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11765). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
