Item Description
Please note, this locality lies in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, although the accompanying labels erroneously states it's in Bavaria. A super example of the classic Hesselbach Mine Fluorites featuring many sharp, rather gemmy, well-formed cubes with an alluring greenish-blue color (with a slight lavender overtone) measuring up to 1.8 cm sitting on Limonite matrix. Good condition for the most part, and very attractive compared to most I've seen from this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1142). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Valued at $1000.
