Item Description
Here we have an attractive specimen of Fluorite from the Deer Trail mine featuring above average "seafoam green" colored cuboctahedra which are translucent when backlit sitting on matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.0 cm across. The piece is in really good shape overall, save the periphery were it was removed from the pocket, but you can see how nicely it displays from the photos. Green Fluorite for some reason just resonates as some of the prettiest Fluorite in the world, and this is a species that comes is virtually every color, and every isometric habit there is! A great miniature for any collector of Fluorites, Utah minerals or colorful display pieces. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12551). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
