Fluorite ex Jack Halpern Collection

The famous Yaogangxian Mine has produced many great specimens across numerous minerals, and Fluorites stand tall among the mine's noteworthy species. This small cabinet is exceptional, with a great, 2.5 cm on edge Fluorite perched perfectly on the matrix. The crystal is gemmy and has a superb, glassy luster. As you can see, the Fluorite has a sharp, 'classic Yaogangxian' purple phantom zone just below the surface that is simply shocking in how perfect it traces the outline of the crystal. Crystal size reaches 2.7 cm on edge. And if being beautiful and pristine wasn't enough, the Fluorite has a vivid, purple-blue fluoresence. This is a great small cabinet piece, and even better in person, and one that I myself sold to Jack to appeal to his taste for perfection, after I brought it home on one of my earlier trips to China.
