Item Description
A classic example of penetration twinned Fluorite from the Hilton Mine. The crystals are glassy and VERY gemmy, with rich lemon-yellow hue. It's hard to convey in the photos, but the crystals are nearly WATER CLEAR in areas. These came out in a few long and dangerous underground collecting trips from 1969-1972. The two main crystals are undamaged on the top / display side, but it's obviously contacted on the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. The largest crystal measures 2.0 cm on edge. Purple fluorescence under UV light. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown.
