A large, old classic from this ancient fluorite mining district, here we have a complexly colored specimen from the Obodda collection. Herb Obodda had, until the mid-90s, one of the finest and most comprehensive fluorite collections ever assembled. I sold this piece at the time he broke it up, and got it back recently. Such large examples are rare, today. It is not free of damage, but it is pretty close, and displays very well by even modern standrads (particularly when backlit a bit to show off internal coloration). Valued $2000-2500. Mass is 1760 grams!
