Item Description

Most of the Fluorites you'll see from the San Antonio Mine at Santa Eulalia have some kind of purple hue, but this is an older specimen, and certainly different from anything else I've ever seen from the locality as the color is more of a silvery-lilac hue, but it has a slight stepped overgrowth on a few faces with minor iron oxide inclusions, to create a lovely two-tone color effect. The crystal fairly gemmy, along with being well-formed, sharp lustrous. I love how it's just a single isolated cube centered in the middle of the underlying Quartz and Calcite matrix. No damage, very showy and certainly a deviation from the norm when it comes to this material. Ex Herb Obodda Private Fluorite Collection #697 (not his dealer stock), and I easily think it could be valued as much as $2,000 retail.
