Item Description
Fluorites from the Blanchard mine are about as classic as minerals from the southwestern U.S. get. This piece features a sharp, gem/gemmy cubic Fluorite crystal which show a beautiful purple and blue "phantom" zoning which shows up well in all kinds of light. A small amount of yellow can be seen when you look straight down the center. Collecting at this locality is not easy, and typically the Fluorite specimens are not 100% damage free. This piece has some minor damage, but still worthwhile. Overall, it is an attractive and colorful little specimen of this well known material from this great mine in New Mexico. From the collection of Allen Heyl (Aheylite) from Colorado.
