Fluorite "egg yolk" on Quartz

Botryoidal fluorite is rare worldwide, with some of the very finest examples coming from Mahodari. This excellent combination piece is dominated by the striking, 5.5 cm, lustrous, translucent, "egg yolk" aesthetically nestled next to spherical aggegates of sparkly, tiny quartz crystals. The botryoid GLOWS, when backlit! The out-of-sight back of the fluorite is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. Two edges of the piece have been sawed to enhance the display. Specimens of this size and very high quality are only available through recycled collections. We value this very highly and have seen specimens, such as this, sell for thousands of dollars at major shows.
