Item Description
The famous pink (and sometimes red) Fluorite crystals from the French Alps are some of the most desirable hues for the species ever found. The crystals are often good size and gemmy, and can produce excellent cut stones if they are clean enough. This gem is a beautiful and hard to find custom faceted gem with a charming pink hue and minor acicular "Byssolite" inclusions (a common mineral seen in Alpine deposits) from The Chamonix - Mt. Blanc area. The stone was faceted by Robert Heath and has a "Modified Mumble" cut. A great collector gem for any fan of Fluorite, and this would make for a nice matching gem in a "rough and cut" set if you already have a crystallized specimen of French Fluorite in your collection.
