Fluorite cuboctahedrons w/ phantoms (fluorescent)

Item Description

Beautiful emerald-green, gemmy fluorite crystals with satin lustre matte faces are aesthetically clustered on the striking, sparkly, sugary, platy drusy quartz and fluorite matrix. The interesting cubes have unusual pronounced modified stepped-growth octahedral corners and smoky phantoms, adding much pizzazz. The fluorites are nearly pristine, with just a bit of edge wear to the dominating large crystal. I have seen few colorful and gemmy fluorites of this rich green color and form from this mining region. Very good aesthetics, and uncommon as yet - this was from a small find at the end of 2018. We have not seen more since, and honestly I am not even sure of an exact mine location at this time. There were only half a dozen examples of this quality, to my knowledge, making it a rather unique and interesting China find. Purple fluorescence.
