Item Description
Fluorite specimens from the well-known Rock Candy Mine of British Columbia can look just like their namesake - sugary rock candy. This striking and showy LARGE CABINET plate consists of translucent, intensely stepped-growth, cuboctahedrons to 4.7 cm. Color ranges from pretty apple-green to colorless. The surfaces of the crystals have a beautiful luster. Closes examination of the multitude of stepped-growth faces is truly surreal. The large crystals look just like Mayan pyramids! Complete-all-around and pristine. This is classic, highly desirable large material from this noted locale. SUPER purple fluorescence. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
