Item Description

Luscious apple-green color and fabulous stepped-growth faces highlight this lustrous, translucent and exceptional fluorite cuboctahedron from California. Every turn presents a different perspective and it GLOWS, when back lit! These green fluorites were collected by the Gochenour brothers in the early 1990s, and are seldom available even within California. The vein was very small, and hard to work. It was tucked into a now-inaccessible canyon in a suburban development within the greater Los Angeles area, and can be considered a mineral from a very urban locale. Purple fluorescence. An outstanding California and a MUST for the locality or species collector. Valued $1000
