Dark purple fluorite specimens are RARE from this well-known Cumbria iron mine. Most fluorites from here are light blue. This rare and excellent dark purple thumbnail cube is lustrous, translucent and has frosted faces. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one out-of-sight bruised edge. Interestingly, no fluorescence. Ex Mervyn Ford Collection.
