Item Description
A wonderful, very gemmy (water clear in areas), crystal group of beautiful cubes of Fluorite with tetrahexahedral modification measuring up to 1.8 cm on edge. The piece is in great shape overall, with only a few tiny blemishes. The crystals are incredibly gemmy and they were incredibly difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. The crystals change color for a gorgeous blue in sunlight to a fine purple hue in indoor lighting. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8431). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
