Item Description
A beautiful small cabinet specimen from he Marienschacht Mine featuring sharp, translucent, very pale purple colored cubic crystals of Fluorite which are coated by drusy, sparkling micro Quartz with minor reddish iron oxide inclusions. No real damage outside of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket. The largest crystal measures 1.3 cm on edge. The label accompanying the piece states that it was collected in the 200 m level of the mine in 1963. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3223). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
