Item Description
A hard to find Fluorite from the Marienschacht Mine featuring sharp, translucent, rich purple colored octahedral crystals of Fluorite which are coated by drusy, slightly iron-included, tan to reddish colored micro Quartz. No real damage outside of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket. If you look closely, you can see tiny cubic Fluorites were deposited in a later generation on top of the Quartz. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3696). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
