Fluorite coated by Calcite and Quartz

The famous Yaogangxian Mine has provided collectors with many superb quality Fluorite specimens over the years. There are obviously many ore bodies in China that produce fine Fluorites, but Yaogangxian is certainly in the upper tier in both quality and quantity. This piece was mined in 2020 and features a few sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, bright blue-green colored cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.6 cm on edge which are partially coated by compressed "poker chip" habit white crystals of Calcite and tiny white prismatic Quartz crystals. No major damage on the front/display side of the piece, but it is contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. Yaogangxian specimens are certainly now considered classic material, so if you collect Chinese minerals or worldwide Fluorites, don't miss out on this attractive colorful display piece.
