Item Description
Several pale violet Fluorite cubo-octahedrons grace the top of this small cabinet specimen from the Huanggang Mines in China. The sharply formed Fluorites range in size from 1 to 2.2 cm and are water-clear so that you can see through them to the matrix beneath. The Fluorites sit on a substrate of numerous, 2 to 6 mm Calcite rhombs that are mostly an ivory-white, but in places have a tan coating or staining. Some of the Calcite crystals are hollow and may actually be casts after Dolomite? An attractive small cabinet piece from this locality.
