Item Description

The cleavage octahedron is a classic Illinois fluorite form. Miners would chip these out of high-grade massive fluorite as gifts or to pass the time. This large cleavage is water-clear and colorless. Common in the 1950 and 60s, you don't see many around anymore in this size. One out-of-sight corner is gently bruised. Purple fluorescence. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Now you can impress your friends with a huge "diamond" octahedron!
