Item Description
A very attractive and rarely seen specimen of beautiful green Fluorite from the Flussschacht Mine in Rottleberode, Germany. This piece features a group of sharp, very well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, light green colored modified cuboctahedral crystals free of matrix. The main crystal measures a full 3.4 cm, and the back / underside of the piece is partially healed / re-crystallized. Some of the broad crystal faces show elegant stepped growth. The piece sits beautifully and displays well without the aid of a base or clay. A VERY worthwhile piece to add to any Fluorite collection or a European / German collection. Priced at $1,250. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4514). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
