Item Description
A classic and seldom seen specimen of fine, sharp, gemmy, silvery-purple colored cubic Fluorite from an undisclosed mine in Nenthead. Most of the Fluorites are in very good condition, with the largest crystal measuring 2.5 cm on edge. In reflected light, the color is more of a mauve-purple hue, but when the piece is backlit, the color turns to more of a golden-yellow tone. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#157). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
