Item Description
A wonderful, gemmy (virtually water clear in some areas), golden yellow crystal group of cubic Fluorite from this classic Spanish Fluorite locality. The piece is two-sided, with matte luster on one side and bright luster on the other, but the most impressive aspect is the fact that some areas show a fiery red color when backlit, from an underlying iron-oxide mineral. You can see small metallic Marcasite on the back side of the piece, which is partially included in the Fluorite crystals themselves. The piece is in superb shape overall, with only a few tiny blemishes. The crystals are rather packed in together and some are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
