Item Description
The renowned Naica Mine in northern Mexico is a world famous locality, probably best known around the world as the home of the famous "Cave of Swords", which is a giant series of the most exemplary Gypsum crystals in the world. Additionally, this well-known mine has produced superb examples of many species including some truly iconic Fluorites. This small cabinet sized specimen features a group of sharp, lustrous, gemmy cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring 1.3 cm across associated with white Calcite, golden metallic Pyrite and minor silvery Galena on matrix. The Fluorites are fairly gemmy, and feature light purple and green hues. The crystals are in very good condition, with no major damage that I can see with the naked eye. We had this piece valued in the inventory at $700 for the overall quality and displayability.
