Fluorite (classic material)

Item Description

A classic specimen of the famous old Fluorites from the Blanchard Mine in New Mexico. The glowing blue color of these Fluorites is well-known to collectors, and now that nothing has been found in many years, these pieces are fairly desirable with Fluorite enthusiasts. This attractive cabinet display specimen is filled with very sharp, well-formed, gemmy cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge on matrix. The color in the crystals is predominantly a saturated blue hue, but there is a bit of purple coloring on the surface of some crystals. Most of the Fluorites are undamaged, though some small imperfections can be seen here and there. Overall it's a good example of this classic material, and would make a nice addition to any Fluorite suite or a collection of New Mexican minerals.
