A gorgeous, showy, small cabinet sized display specimen of golden-yellow cubic Fluorite with associated black hydrocarbon from the famous Rosiclare Sub-District in Southern Illinois. This area is well known for its amazing multi-color Fluorite specimens that came out for decades, though they are few and far between on the market these days. This piece displays very well as you can see from the photo, and it GLOWS with color when backlit showing the rich internal color. If you look on the edges of the central crystal, you can see a thin purple color zoning along the exterior faces. The largest Fluorite measures 4.7 cm on edge. There are some small contacts, so the piece is not 100% pristine, but it's still a fine example of this classic material. This area is completely closed down and will never produce these specimens again. Priced at $750 retail.
