Item Description

The famous Fluorite specimens from the Blanchard mine are about as classic as it gets when it comes to minerals from southwestern U.S. This piece features sharp, cubic Fluorite crystals which show a color shift from a gorgeous blue color in sunlight to a slight purplish color shift in different temperatures of indoor lighting. The cubes measure up to 8 mm and have good luster and nice internal gemminess. The matrix is a the typical white granular Quartz. Collecting at this locality is not easy, and typically the Fluorite specimens are not 100% damage free. This piece has a few nicks, but most of the crystals are undamaged. A wonderful eye-catching colorful display specimen of this well known material from this great mine in New Mexico.
