Item Description

The Blanchard Mine in New Mexico is a well-known source of Fluorite crystals, and it might be the most well-known Fluorite producer in the entire state. This locality is renowned for its beautifully colorful Fluorites, which actually show a color change from a vivid blue in sunlight to more of a purple / lavender hue indoors. This piece features several sharp, well-formed, gemmy cubes measuring up to 2.0 cm on edge, free of matrix. There is a slight coating of micro Quartz on a few faces for a nice touch. The central crystals are in great condition, and the only roughness is on the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall.
Ex Dave Stoudt collection, accompanied by an old dealer label stating it was once part of the collection of the legendary Bob Jones (#443).
