Item Description

The Huanzala Mine in Peru has produced some of the most attractive and impressive Fluorites from any locality in South America. Many different hues of Fluorite have been found at this locality, and this piece is a great example of the classic green specimens that came out years ago. This particular piece was mined in the 1980s and features a 5.2 cm, highly modified Fluorite crystal (a combination of cube, octahedron and dodecahedron) with a lovely "water green" color with excellent in transparency which is associated with lustrous, gem quality Quartz crystals on minor matrix. It is certainly one of the better Huanzala Fluorite specimens that we've have had to offer recently in the auctions, and I cannot find any damage, as the Fluorite is crystallized (or re-crystallized) all the way around.
Valued $1,500.
