Item Description

Fluorite is a well-known and popular species among mineral collectors, which has been found in thousands of localities around the world, in every color of the rainbow. There are certain examples that stand out among others based upon where they originated and their color. The famed Rogerley Mine in England is a classic locality, well-known as being a source of some of the most recognized green Fluorite specimens in the modern era of mineral collecting. The stones exhibit a gorgeous saturated green indoor lighting and shows a slight purplish flash (daylight fluorescence) in sunlight. This "Modified Mumble Brilliant" cut stone is an uncommon and good-sized example of this well-known material, and it would make a great addition to any gem collection or as a match to a Fluorite specimen from this mine, creating a great "rough and cut" set. The stone is only slightly included, but with a strong color for the material. This is the only stone we have to offer from this mine at the moment, so do not miss out. This gem was faceted by Robert Heath.
