Item Description

Fluorite has been found in thousands of localities around the world, in every color of the rainbow, but there are certain stones that stand out among others based upon where they originated. This gem is a beautiful classic example from the famed Rogerley Mine in England, which has been a source of some of the most recognized Fluorite specimens in the modern era of mineral collecting. The stones exhibit a gorgeous saturated green indoor lighting and shows a slight purplish flash (daylight fluorescence) in sunlight. This "Modified Octagonal Brilliant" cut stone is an uncommon example of this well-known material, and it would make a great addition to any gem collection or as a match to a Fluorite specimen from this mine, creating a great "rough and cut" set. The stone is nearly eye clean and very good quality for the material. This is the only stone we have to offer from this mine, so do not miss out. This gem was faceted by Robert Heath.
