Item Description
This is a fine interpenetrating pair of glassy, transparent to translucent cubes with rich golden-yellow color. One cube is a beautiful, water-clear gem. Yellow fluorite cubes from the famous Hilton Mine are much rarer and are highly desirable compared with purple and green varieties from Cumbria and Durham. These are fairly large crystals for the locale and the piece has several fine display views. The bit of trivial edge wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent example from a classic locale. Super fluorescence, as you expect. Ex Mick Sutcliffe Collection and collected in th 1970s.
