Item Description

A sculptural large two-way cluster of intergrown fluorite cubes from one of the famous Weardale mines. The prominent central cube is 4.5 x 4.2 x 4.0 cm and the impressive long compound cluster is 9.7 cm wide. The interesting lustrous bi-colored cubes are dramatically accented with gemmy, glassy lavender edges and corners with the interiors composed of sparkly, densely intergrown tiny bluish-gray cubes. Bright purple fluorescence. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 1998. Classic, very fine, essentially pristine large Weardale fluorite of this style.
