Gem, water-clear, bright purple, interpenetrating, fluorite cubes to about 9 mm totally cover the mounded matrix on this classic, very fine specimen from the famous mines at Weardale. The gemminess of these crystals is spectacular. Excellent old-time material from this historic district and is essentially damage-free, except for basal periphery wear on side.
