Item Description

An aesthetic, mounded cluster of glassy, transparent to translucent, interpenetrating, pretty purple, fluorite cubes from the famous Blackdene Mine at Weardale. The striking, large cube is 1.8 cm and all of the crystals have very nifty color-zoning. Additionally, a second generation of tiny, colorless, cuboctahedral fluorites is a super accent. Fabulous INTENSE purple fluorescence, as you would expect from material from this same district that lent the phenomenon its name. Ex Larry Krause Collection. valued $400
