Item Description

Purple octahedrons of Fluorite are well-known from the Pine Canyon area, Grant Co., New Mexico. Etched from seams of white Quartz, these light purple Fluorites are well-preserved and sit very nicely on the matrix. The largest octahedron is 1.1 cm on edge, and the fluorescence is excellent. From the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
