Item Description
An attractive intergrown, stacked cluster of translucent, lustrous fluorite octahedrons of the very best rose-pink color from the Argentiere Glacier area at Chamonix, France. This is classic and very desirable material from a sought-after locality. The striking large, crowning octo is 1.8 cm and the crystals have lightly frosted, stepped-growth faces. A complete all-around and nearly pristine floater, with only a tiny cleavage at the bottom of the piece. An excellent and beautiful piece from this very famous locale, with all four sides presenting a totally different perspective! It glows rose-pink when backlit even a little bit. These are hard to find today on the market, and one like this should be valued in the range of $1500-2000
