Le Beix, France fluorites are a highly desirable and rarely available France, European and world-wide classic. This is a highly unusual, rare and exotic color-zoned small cabinet. Backlighting reveals the classic, beautiful, rich blue core transitioning to light sky-blue outer areas. The two sculptural, intergrown cubes have stunning recessed faces, that almost looked hoppered. The highly waxy luster prism faces have a distinctive stepped-growth/etched look. Purple LW UV fluorescence. The mine opened in 1906 and closed in 1977. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection No. 98, a well-known French collector and field collector. Valued by the former French dealer at $1850. The unusual form and the bewitching colors of the cubes are fascinating on this Le Beix specimen.
