Fluorite (classic gemmy twinned crystals)

While Fluorite is found in thousands of world localities, the iconic specimens from the famous Rogerley Mine in England stand out as some of the most beautiful contemporary classics out there. Here we have a fantastic near full cabinet sized piece that was actually mined in the mid 2000s. The wealth of good specimens at that time provided collectors with a great opportunity to own fantastic Fluorites from one of the most prestigious lead and iron mining districts that dates back to the 13th century! This specimen hosts many incredibly gemmy (some are nearly WATER-CLEAR!), sharp, penetration twin cubes of Fluorite with individual crystals measuring up to 1.7 cm aesthetically sitting on matrix. The crystals have that distinct green color that Rogerley pieces are known for plus the beautiful purple fluorescence in sunlight. Additionally, the crystals show a desirable purple-white fluorescence under UV light! The piece is in great condition, and the amazingly smooth faces and great transparency in areas is what makes it so enticing. While looking closely, we found a few TINY micro octahedral crystal forms that are frozen INSIDE the larger cubes!  FANTASTIC!  A very eye-catching and fine quality display specimen of these well-known Fluorites.
