Item Description

The Elmwood Mine is largely known for two minerals: Calcite and Fluorite. Both of which are beloved by collectors, and they have become some of the most desirable specimens on the market for their excellent size, color and quality. This piece is a beautiful, classic, GEM quality, soft purple colored "etched corner" specimen, free of matrix. The upper portion of the piece retains the original smooth cubic faces, but the rest of the piece has an elegant tapered appearance from the etching, creating a pseudo-scepter-esque form. This piece goes back to the 1970s - 1980s and is a wonderful example of these unique and classic Fluorites. Weight is 37.05 grams
