Fluorite Carving, Otter / Sea Lion

Fluorite has been used in carvings for many year, and since the mining boom in China has taken off, there has been a LOT of fine quality carving grade Fluorite on the market. Here we have a very attractive bi-colored blue-green and purple bi-colored, good size, Fluorite carving from China in the shape of either an otter or a sea lion. My favorite aspect of the piece is the fact that it's a SOLID piece of Fluorite that was skillfully carved to reveal the purple section as the head of the animal, and the green section is the surrounding water. This is a very attractive carving, and will probably end up being a bargain for one of you bidders. The piece has a $350 retail price. Specimen weight is 79.05 grams (395.25 carats)
