Striking, sculptural, large 360-degree combination from a NEW FIND at an unknown mine in Fujian Province, China! Beautiful, sharp, gemmy, grass-green Fluorite octahedrons with black cores and satin luster faces dramatically dominate the outstanding front of the piece. The stunning, large, doubly terminated, pristine octahedron is 3.4 cm tall and 3.4 cm across on the diagonal. Striking, sharp, glassy, translucent, colorless Calcite scalenohedrons with frosted faces really highlight and enhance all the faces. The Calcites reach 4.0 cm on the piece. Scattered water-clear Quartz points, to 1.5 cm, mainly on the back are a fine accessory and complement. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. Two gently bruised, barely noticeable large calcite tips and a contact to small calcite crystals at the top of the piece are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions. Blue-purple fluorite and orange calcite LW UV fluorescence. A splendid fluorite, calcite and quartz combination from a small find in China during 2022-23.
