Item Description
Magnetite is VERY RARE from any of the famous mines at Dal'negorsk and this is a striking and excellent, two-sided combination from the renowned Nikolaevskiy Mine. Classic, water-clear, colorless, "invisible" fluorite cubes, to 2.0 cm, are aesthetically clustered on both sides. The front also hosts enechelon, flattened calcite rhombs. Both sides of the solid magnetite matrix are richly dusted with tiny, sparkly calcite rhombs. A bit of scattered fluorite bruising is noted, but has negligible impact to the aesthetics and high quality of this rarity. Purple fluorite and orange calcite fluorescence. A unique combination rarity from Dal'negorsk. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1993, when material was becoming available. Valued at $500 for rarity and combination.
