Fluorite (big crystal)

Item Description

A big, beautiful, gemmy, color-zoned crystal of modified cubic Fluorite from the Shangbao Mine of China. The piece shows green and purple "phantom" zoning, and is fairly gemmy considering the size and thickness of the crystal. This is quite big for the locality, and even though it's not 100% perfect, it's a great example of Fluorite from this classic contemporary locality. There's a growth line across the front where I suspect either another Fluorite crystal or a Quartz crystal once grew. The back is mostly complete with only one cleave.
