A really eye-catching cabinet sized specimen from Yaogangxian featuring a group of sharp, lustrous, green and purple colored, VERY gemmy (nearly water clear in areas) "phantom" cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 2.9 cm on edge sitting on crystallized Quartz matrix. The majority of the Fluorite crystals are damage free, though one of the larger Fluorites has some roughness on the right edge where it was removed from the pocket wall. Hard to photograph, but it's fine quality and really attractive in person. A great piece for any fan of Fluorites or display specimens from China. His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
