A really eye-catching cabinet sized specimen from Yaogangxian featuring a group of very soft green and purple colored, highly lustrous, VERY gemmy (nearly water clear in areas), sharp cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 3.5 cm on edge sitting a small amount of matrix. The majority of the crystals are damage free, though the piece is contacted around the edges where it was removed from the pocket wall. Hard to photograph, but it's fine quality and really attractive in person. A great piece for any fan of Fluorites or display specimens from China. We had a price tag of $1,750 on this one in the inventory. Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection. His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
